Healthy Holidays

Hey Ho! Let's hear it for Healthy Holidays!
For your consideration, a time supposed
to be of appreciation, 'good will toward man', and connection to
family, that often
is filled with binge eating and drinking, and stress. Sorry, I
don't mean to paint to
bleak a picture of the holidays. I just want to get everyone
thinking about how to
actually focus on what can be the good parts of the upcoming
holidays. Stress, in the
form of shopping, finances, decorating, dealing with visitors,
etc. etc, can be part of
the holidays. Some may be unavoidable, but some is preventable.
I am making the
case for not blowing off your exercise or blowing the
development of healthy eating
habits. Especially if these habits are not well established;
they can die easily without
attention. Even if you shorten workouts, take walks, park closer
to the mall, use the
stairs, etc., please keep your health and fitness a priority in
the weeks ahead. My
goal is to have you build healthy habits into your lives; during
the 'regular' times, as
well as holidays, as well as....well, you get it. Taking care of
yourself doesn't have to
